David Millstone has made a least 3 wonderful videos.  As a caller, dancer, musician, dance historian, and more, he has a unique viewpoint and uncanny ability to record our dance world and its movers and shakers.

Working together with Great Meadow Music, on some of his videos, David offers you professional quality, full length videos that will open your eyes to some of the top callers, organizers and musicians who have kept alive the dance and music that we love.

CONTRA CONNECTIONS   Two great Contra films combined on one 90 minute DVD:

 Paid to Eat Ice Cream

A documentary that chronicles  Bob McQuillen's contributions to contra music and

community. The video is humorous, poignant and profound.

What's Not To Like? A Community Contra Dance

A great introduction for newcomers showing dances with the band Northern Spy,

featuring live dance footage and very interesting interviews with dancers and

musicians.

THE OTHER WAY BACK    Dancing with Dudley

A Contra dance documentary which offers 99 minutes of video, plus a bonus disk with

2+ hours of stories, music and dance.

Dudley Laufman was the charismatic figure at the center of a dance revival in

the late 1960s and 1970s.  He introduced a generation to the dance we love.

These are fascinating videos which every traditional dancer should own.

David's latest video is called "Sweet
 Talk."

It's a 70 minute long extended interview with Connecticut caller, musician, and flute maker Ralph Sweet. Ralph has been involved in contra and square dancing since the mid-1940s, including a twenty-year involvement in modern western square dance.

The video incudes a lot of information-- including audio clips and numerous still photos-- about the development of square dancing in the last 50 years. In addition to the interview itself, there's also a section of advice for callers, and some video footage of Ralph's calling.

"Sweet Talk" sells for $20, and there are discounts when purchased in conjunction with other videos. Shipping and handling is $3/order, regardless of how many disks are ordered.
