Hip-hop contras? ...
Almost all of us have danced to New England/Irish or Southern
style Old-timey music. Some of us have danced to the
Klezmer music of Eastern Europe. A few of us have even
danced to Erik Hoffman's "rap" square ... and some of us!
have even danced to the Full Circle ECeilidh
Electric's Santana set.
But how many of us have danced to full-blown 1980's or
1990's pop, rock, and rap?
If
you are interested or able to call to such music, to do some sound
editing. organizing, personal contact work, research
etc. , then please contact the editors at
contrausa.com.
This idea may be distasteful to many of us but might be
helpful to bring in a new generation of dancers and once they
have been exposed to contra perhaps they would then appreciate the
more traditional music we usually offer. :)
